Library

Sri Adichunchanagiri College of Pharmacy Library Spreading over an area of 330 Sq mt has a seating capacity of 120 persons,offering a wide range of integrated and IT Support services. Library is Air conditioned and automated with latest technology equipments.

There will be places for silent study and significant provision for group work allowing students to suit their individual learning and research style. The highest quality services and support is an exciting and essential part of the student experience at SACCP Library.

We provide every thing from traditional paper based books and Journals to e-books and e-journals including podcasts and webcasts as the library is equipped with complete wifi services to its users.Closed Access system with issues and references based on Title and subjectwise racking system has a huge collection of valuable reference books and encyclopedias along with Pharmacopoeia, USP and other references.

Objectives

  • To acquire both physical and virtual collections at all libraries of ACU and enhance the capability of services to meeting the demands of the curricular, instructional, and research programs of the academic community.
  • To adopt the collection analysis system in the libraries while acquiring the content for the programs, considering the factors of growth of the collection, particularly in newer areas of inquiry.
  • To ensure easy access to collections through the use of emerging integrated technology, so that all collections can be readily accessible.
  • To integrate all ACU constituent libraries by acquiring unique software, tools, and technologies to enhance the library operations, and services for better utility.
  • To establish a strong linkage with Government agencies such as INFLIBNET, National Digital Library of India, e-learning platforms, National Library of Medicine (USA), and Open Learning Portals in the country and abroad.
  • To support for conservation of knowledge created by the ACU and its Constituent Colleges for present and future uses of the learning community.
  • To promote information literacy as an activity of the library in enhancing the skills of the stakeholders.

2018:

Mr. Madhu B L, Librarian attended Decennial (10th) Annual conference KHSLA - 2018 Karnataka Health Sciences Library Association 2018 organised by Ramaiah Medical College, held on 23rd to 24th February 2018 at Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru on the Theme – Library -As an Information Service Platform.

Around 150 plus Librarians including the Librarians from RGUHS & Bangalore University from all along the state have attended the conference. Almost all the Librarians were concerned about the less usage of Traditional old book Library and enormous high in the usage of Digital information by almost all students of Health Science courses.

2011:
